**Job Summary**

The Churchill Health Centre is seeking a highly motivated and caring Childcare Assistant to join our team. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in the care and learning of our children, working under the direction of our experienced Children's Centre Coordinator.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and programs that promote learning and development in children.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and community members.
  • Collaborate with the Children's Centre Coordinator to plan and implement daily routines, activities, and programs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

**Requirements**

  • Previous experience in a child care setting is an asset.
  • Completed or willing to complete the 40-hour course requirements for working in a Children Centre.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to children, parents, and community.
  • Demonstrates a calm and confident manner during difficult situations.
  • Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position.

**Physical Demands**

  • Possible lifting at times.
  • Possible eye strain.
  • Possible posture and muscle problems.
  • Other demands as it pertains to position.
  • Possible contact with children with aggressive behavior.
