Job Title: Childcare Assistant

At Churchill Health Centre, we are seeking a dedicated and caring Childcare Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Children's Centre, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and support to children in our centre, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with our Children's Centre Coordinator to develop and implement engaging activities and programs that promote learning and development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and community members, demonstrating a calm and confident manner in challenging situations.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in child care and education.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a child care setting is an asset, with a willingness to complete the 40-hour course requirements for working in a Children's Centre.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to children, parents, and community.
  • Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position.
Physical Demands:
  • Possible lifting at times.
  • Possible eye strain.
  • Possible posture and muscle problems.
  • Other demands as it pertains to the position.
  • Possible contact with children with aggressive behavior.
