Job Summary:

Churchill Health Centre is seeking a qualified Childcare Assistant to join our team. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children at our Children's Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and supervision to children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a child care setting, preferably in a Children's Centre.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to children, parents, and community.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the Centre in a professional manner.

Physical Demands:

  • Possible lifting and bending.
  • Eye strain and prolonged standing.
  • Posture and muscle strain.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Occasional contact with children who may exhibit challenging behavior.
