Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified Application Support Analyst to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Provide support for applications, focusing on both core and non-core systems.
- Conduct research on applications and utilities to meet user requirements as needed.
- Develop small macros as necessary.
- Offer support (via telephone, in-person, and email) to various groups utilizing non-core applications, including Litigation Support, CMPA group, Library, Marketing, and Intellectual Property departments. This includes troubleshooting and collaborating with vendor technical support as required.
- Address all unresolved application issues escalated from the Help Desk, ensuring timely resolution and collaboration with other department members.
- Assist the Database Administrator with support tasks related to the applications managed by this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, build, test, and validate new software, application updates, and patches before deployment to desktop systems.
Qualifications:
- A recognized Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and intelligence.
- Advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Effective communication skills with other departments and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid understanding of databases and their relationship with programming code.
- Familiarity with research methodologies to evaluate, test, and recommend new software solutions.
- Experience in supporting enterprise-level applications at an advanced level.
- Familiarity with tools such as iManage, Prolaw, Litera, Workshare, Interaction, SQL Management Studio, Citrix, Microsoft Access, SQL Query language, and Visual Basic for Applications is considered an asset.
