Event Operations Supervisor

As the foremost provider of hospitality in Waterloo Region, we offer unparalleled family entertainment experiences. Our facilities include attractions such as the Big Splash Water Park, FunWorx Indoor Playland, and the Bingemans Camping Resort, making us the go-to destination for exceptional fun. In the fall, we transform into Canada's most thrilling haunted experience - Screampark. Each October, our Oktoberfest Kool Haus welcomes thousands of guests to partake in KW Oktoberfest, North America's largest Bavarian festival.
At Bingemans, we are dedicated to creating Grand Experiences.
We are currently seeking a part-time Banquet Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients regarding contracts and any modifications, ensuring seamless event execution.
- Organize and oversee staff, event setups, service, and bar operations.
- Guide staff in maintaining cleanliness of food and beverage equipment and facilities, including the dishwashing area.
- Communicate effectively and delegate tasks to surpass guest expectations during events.
- Engage with clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of managing larger teams and functions of 400 or more guests independently.
- Relevant experience in the hospitality sector, including banquet services, catering, and convention management.
- Quick learner with the capacity to adapt and resolve changes in setups, timelines, and additional requests.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision when necessary.
- Flexibility to work during days, evenings, and weekends.
- Smart Serve Certification is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Standard First Aid- CPR level C and AED certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
