Event Services Specialist

The Event Services Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our events by providing exceptional client service and managing event logistics. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Operation Logistics:

  • Manage all event logistics, including transportation, registration, hospitality, catering, facilities, activities, and technology.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients and guests.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, department, and performance policies.
  • Assist in problem-solving and anticipate and resolve challenges onsite.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure understanding of expectations and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure an exceptional attendee and guest experience by demonstrating a high level of customer service.

Internal Event Space Management:

  • Regularly maintain and audit assigned internal event spaces.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage a running list of maintenance items, submitting requests and following up to ensure issues are resolved.

Administrative/Project Support:

  • Manage team resource documents and various projects as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong preference for degree programs in hospitality/event management or equivalent hospitality experience.
  • Experience leading a team desired.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G-suite tools, and ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Professional communication, teamwork, and leadership skills required.
  • Foreign language fluency a plus.
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule, including last-minute changes.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the position, including extensive standing and lifting.
  • Dependability, flexibility, self-direction, and ability to work with all levels of employees, both independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in both English and French.
