Transit Operations Supervisor

Transdev Ontario Manitoba is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Transit Operations Supervisor for our Central Ontario Region.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Transit Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of a growing Transit division. This position is crucial in managing compliance with Key Performance Indicators while enhancing customer satisfaction, boosting revenue, and ensuring operational quality and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital liaison for management in key accounts, necessitating a high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
- Optimize vehicle usage and minimize unnecessary travel.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Direct dispatching, routing, and tracking activities.
- Organize and manage staff workflows to meet organizational standards.
- Implement schedule and policy modifications.
- Oversee the effective initiation and maintenance of local contracts.
- Collaborate with other managers to develop and execute policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Work with the Health & Safety team and government agencies to investigate transportation incidents and enhance safety protocols.
- Manage progressive discipline processes.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, deficiency lists, and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Facilitate safety and driver meetings.
- Manage divisional budget and monitor expenditures to align with approved budgets.
- Oversee payroll processes.
- Provide mentorship, motivation, and conflict resolution.
- Act as the primary contact for daily operational matters.
- Play a key role in quoting new business and ensuring contract compliance.
- Oversee daily communications regarding operational data and process maintenance.
- Represent Transdev positively within the community by participating in company-sponsored events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- A University or Post-Secondary Degree or Equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in an operational setting.
- Experience in the Transportation sector is advantageous.
- A valid full G Ontario driver's license.
- A clean Driver's Abstract and a clear Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment handling confidential materials.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to facilitate group meetings effectively.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing education and training.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Ability to travel within Ontario.
- Strong business sense and effective communication skills.
- A natural leader focused on the success of both employees and customers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the Central Ontario Region.
