Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions, and follow-ups related to respiratory therapy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and mechanical ventilation support.
  2. Maintain accurate documentation and records, ensuring compliance with departmental standards.
  3. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care goals and strategies.
  4. Monitor and perform maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of respiratory equipment, reporting supply needs as required.
  5. Contribute to quality improvement activities, including the development of written procedures and standards.
  6. Provide in-service education and training as needed.
  7. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam are required. Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) is also necessary. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification are required.
