Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Summary: Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in a rapidly growing organization with a strong focus on health professionals, career growth, and a competitive compensation package. Job Description: The salary range for this position is CAD $47.31 per hour. Responsibilities: • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions, and follow-ups related to respiratory therapy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and mechanical ventilation support. • Maintains accurate and complete documentation, reports, and workload statistics according to established departmental standards. • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care goals, therapeutic/diagnostic strategies, and program-related issues. • Monitors and performs required maintenance, cleaning, calibration, evaluation, and quality control of respiratory and related equipment. • Participates in quality improvement activities, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of written procedures and standards. • Provides in-service education as required. • Participates in meetings and departmental committees, contributing to problem identification and resolution. • Participates in Respiratory Therapy student education and various in-services for staff and the community as required. Qualifications: • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. • Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C. • Possession of and maintained Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Skills and Abilities: • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Ability to deal with others effectively. • Ability to organize and prioritize work. • Ability to operate related equipment. • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
