Bilingual Client Accounting Specialist - SEPS/Voluntary Life

Position Overview

The Bilingual Client Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering administrative support to both Single- and Multi-Employer Plans, ensuring the effective management and operation of these plans. Responsibilities include responding to telephone inquiries and engaging with employers and plan members regarding coverage details, admissions, terminations, beneficiaries, and related matters.

This role also encompasses the preparation of premium reports, data entry for billing processes, customer service tasks, and the verification of billing statements and remittances.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Bilingual Client Accounting Specialist position should hold a post-secondary diploma in a relevant field or possess equivalent training derived from a blend of pertinent work experience and education. A minimum of one year of related experience in an office setting is anticipated.

Essential skills and attributes include:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard office administration practices.
  • Exceptional grammatical, spelling, and communication abilities in both official languages.
  • Proven capability to learn and master new software and technology.
  • Outstanding data entry skills coupled with strong mathematical and reconciliation abilities.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles and banking protocols.
  • Ability to maintain positive public relations, both internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to adhering to established company policies and procedures.
  • Capacity to exercise tact and discretion in handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate may also have:

  • Experience within the benefits and/or insurance sector.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and electronic document processing.

The Bilingual Client Accounting Specialist is expected to work extended hours as necessary to fulfill job requirements and may be assigned additional duties by the manager.
