Job Title: Field Service Technician

At TerraSource Global, we are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and advise customers on equipment installation, operation, and maintenance, identifying opportunities for service and parts sales.
  • Proactively work with customers, sales representatives, and monitor recent orders to identify opportunities for service visits.
  • Complete service visits, generate professional reports, and submit billing in a timely manner.
  • Utilize SalesForce system to submit Quote Requests, manage Service Reports, update Asset data, and collaborate with other departments.
  • Manage time and resources effectively to minimize overtime and expenses, while generating Value Add Service and Parts Quotes.
  • Provide feedback and training on equipment performance and potential improvements to Sales, Engineering, and others in the Field Service Department.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent in a technical field, or a minimum of 5 years of related heavy industrial service experience and/or training.
  • English writing and verbal skills required; French a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios required for practical situations.
  • Considerable ingenuity and judgment required to deal with factors not easily evaluated.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability under company's motor vehicle insurance policy required.
  • Demonstrated common PC skills, including Microsoft products, and experience with SalesForce or similar customer management software preferred.
  • Annual MSHA Vendor Training and Surface and Underground Vendor Training/Certifications required.
Travel and Work Schedule:

Employee must be able to travel 60% of the time, with some international travel required. Work schedule may be adjusted to allow weekdays off when weekends are worked.
