Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our establishment. This position involves overseeing the cleaning staff and ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and presentation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset
Work Environment

This role is set within a dynamic environment such as a hotel, motel, or resort, where the ability to work under pressure is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage cleaning personnel
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning operations
  • Recommend and arrange for additional services, including repairs and renovations
  • Assist cleaning staff in their duties as needed
  • Coordinate cleaning activities with other departments
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position oversees light duty cleaners and may involve managing a team of more than 20 individuals.

Certifications
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
