Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Rashmi's Bakery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Baking and Mixing: Bake mixed dough and batters, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Special Orders: Prepare special orders for customers, including gluten-free options.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of our products meets our established standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Work Setting: Ability to work in a bakery setting, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and physically demanding work.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, excellent oral and written communication skills, judgement, reliability, team player, patience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
