Job Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team at Island Health. As a member of our Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, you will provide consultation to patients, families, primary care physicians, and healthcare professionals in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation to patients and their families/caregivers in Acute Inpatient, Outpatient, and Residential Care settings
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
  • Participate in clinical service, teaching, and program development as part of the Island-wide Dementia Strategy
  • Contribute to the NRGH General Psychiatry call rotation and Island Medical Program undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program
Requirements
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Geriatric Psychiatry (mandatory)
  • Fellowship is considered an asset, but not required
