As a key member of the Development and Alumni Relations team, this role will foster pride and support for the university, inspiring giving, advocacy, and volunteerism among alumni.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni relations strategy aligned with the University's strategic plan, Shape.
- Lead a talented team of alumni relations professionals to create and execute high-quality engagement initiatives.
- Cultivate relationships with senior leaders, alumni relations professionals, and campus partners to develop programs that engage alumni through digital, traditional, and emerging channels.
- Implement business models and programs that measurably result in alumni actively supporting the teaching, research, and community engagement mission of the university.
- Oversee the Alumni Association, including volunteer management and board governance, to ensure an excellent experience for alumni council volunteers.
- Provide leadership and contribute to the overall advancement strategy as a member of the Development and Alumni Relations senior leadership team.
- Proven experience in strategic leadership and alumni relations, with a strong track record of success.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact with leaders at all levels.
- Knowledge of analytics, comparative data, and benchmarks to set goals, measure progress, and evolve strategies.
- Experience in volunteer management and board governance, with a focus on creating an excellent experience for volunteers.
- Ability to integrate and advance the University's commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
