About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Wapiti Community Support Association. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and provide support and assistance as needed.
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, including taking vital signs, administering first aid, and providing emotional support.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments and activities, as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
Requirements
  • Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide care in a variety of settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
