About the Role

Care24 Homecare & Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, including toileting and incontinence care
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, including serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and maintaining patients' rooms
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Administer medications and perform other medical tasks as required
  • Document client care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized healthcare aide program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move patients as required
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
