About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Wapiti Community Support Association. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and provide support and assistance as needed.
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, including taking patients' vital signs and administering first aid in emergency situations.
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
  • Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
