Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting project managers and superintendents with project planning, inspections, layout, and other field work
  • Communicating effectively with owners, contract administrators, subcontractors, and engineers
  • Interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
  • Maintaining project recordkeeping and correspondence functions, including daily reports, photographs, and memorandums
  • Performing material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and updating construction schedules and projections, and performing quantity calculations
  • Conducting quality control activities, inspection programs, and updating construction progress records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of construction field experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work safely and effectively, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Strong work ethic and a demonstrated passion for excellence
  • Experience working on structural infrastructure projects is an asset
