About The Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Projects, the Electrical Estimator plays a crucial role in managing estimates from initiation to completion. By collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and the business development unit, the Electrical Estimator aims to comprehend customer requirements and objectives, devises top-tier solutions, and procures necessary materials.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Estimating & Proposals
- Develop estimates in conjunction with various stakeholders, including Sales, Department Managers, and Foremen;
- Collaborate with the accounting department to establish suitable deposit and payment plans;
- Examine proposal specifications and drawings, and participate in pre-bid meetings to ascertain the scope of work and strategy;
- Conduct risk assessments and manage contracts as needed;
- Evaluate and endorse equipment drawings and specifications;
- Review estimates with internal teams and promote quality and cost efficiency throughout the project;
- Contribute actively to achieving job-specific and company-wide financial objectives.
- Consulting, Stakeholder Management, & Communication
- Engage directly with clients to gain insights into their needs;
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and partners;
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders;
- Assist clients in discovering innovative solutions that lead to improvements or cost savings in their operations;
- Continuously seek new and innovative technologies/solutions to enhance both our clients' competitive edge and our own;
- Coordinate with supply chain, sales, marketing, engineering, subcontractors, and finance;
- Serve as a company leader, promoting best practices and safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.

Our Must Haves
- Red Seal Electrician Certification or an Electrical Engineering Degree is advantageous;
- 5+ years of experience in estimating commercial and industrial projects;
- Proven track record in bidding and securing projects;
- Ability to think critically and apply strong problem-solving skills;
- Experience with Accubid software.
