About the Role

DigiVie Communications is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients and their IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide timely and effective support to existing clients, ensuring their IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Technical Assessments: Conduct thorough technical assessments of new and existing clients' systems, documenting findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support Request Management: Track and resolve support requests through effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management: Manage projects, including building and deploying physical and virtual servers, IP telephony systems, and other technical initiatives.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform proactive preventative maintenance tasks on computers, servers, network infrastructure, and other technical systems.
  • Professional Development: Continuously educate yourself through our career program on technology and IT security.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: 1+ years' technical experience in the support of information technology solutions.
  • Microsoft Skills: Rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office suites / 365.
  • Networking Knowledge: Rudimentary understanding of networking technology and theory.
  • Driver's License: A valid Class G driver's license and vehicle for travel throughout the National Capital Region.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Full COVID-19 vaccination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems: Experience with Microsoft server operating systems from 2012R2 and higher, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Active Directory, Group Policy, remote desktop services, virtualization, etc.
  • Virtualization Deployments: Experience with virtualization deployments (Hyper-V / VMWare).
  • Data Backup Systems: Experience with installation and support of data backup systems, AV platforms, etc.
  • Education: A two-year associate's degree in a computer-related field, Network+ certification, or commensurate experience.
