About This Role

The Sales Development Manager at Coca-Cola Canada is a key field representative responsible for uncovering and maximizing sales potential across a diverse customer base, which includes Grocery Chains, Mass Merchandisers, Convenience Stores, Restaurants, Bars, and various Food Service establishments. The primary objective of the Sales Development Manager is to enhance profitable sales by gaining a comprehensive understanding of the various market channels and the extensive beverage offerings from Coca-Cola Canada. Our mission is to establish ourselves as the preferred supplier for our clients. In this capacity, the Sales Development Manager serves as a vital contact point for customers, prioritizing the development of strong, collaborative relationships. Furthermore, this role is essential in broadening the customer network and fostering business expansion within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively promote customer marketing initiatives, additional display placements, and equipment installations that align with both the customer's objectives and Coca-Cola Canada's strategic goals.
  • Assess potential opportunities for both new and existing large-scale retail clients.
  • Create tailored business strategies that address the specific needs of the customer(s).
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising supervisors and the replenishment team to ensure revenue and profit targets are met while maintaining optimal inventory levels and merchandising standards at each location.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and address any issues in a timely manner.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with marketing programs.
  • Implement channel-specific promotions that leverage national branding strategies.
  • Organize time and territory effectively to maximize face-to-face sales interactions.
  • Construct or adjust displays, sections, end caps, racks, and coolers in accordance with Coca-Cola Canada's standards and initiatives.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and position products weighing up to 50 lbs (22 kg) above shoulder height without assistance.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales within the consumer goods sector is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year in consumer products, direct store delivery sales, or major account management is essential.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and communication skills (both verbal and written) are crucial.
  • Proficiency in using various computer applications is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years is required.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for work-related duties is mandatory.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
