Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapy department at Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients in various units, including ICU E/S, CCU, and the Regional Burn Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to adult patients in critical care settings, including ICU E/S, CCU, and the Regional Burn Unit.
  • Collaborate with physicians and RNs to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
  • Operate the Hyperbaric Unit, providing scheduled and emergent hyperbaric care.
  • Participate in the Code Blue team and provide respiratory care during emergency situations.
  • Contribute to a culture of patient and staff safety, adhering to our Mission, Vision, Values, and Values-Based Code of Conduct.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current General Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam.
  • Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in an adult critical care setting.
  • Recent RACE experience preferred.
  • Recent hyperbaric experience and/or training preferred.
