Unit Summary
The Juravinski ICU is a tertiary care unit that supports multiple clinical programs, including the Regional Programs for Central-South Ontario. This ICU provides specialized care to cardiac surgical, oncology, orthopedic, medical, and surgical patient populations, utilizing a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach dedicated to patient and family-centered care.
Position Summary
As a Respiratory Therapist at Hamilton Health Sciences, you will be responsible for providing respiratory care in the special care areas. Your duties will include working under general supervision, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Graduated from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
- Current Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- EPIC hospital information system experience is preferred
