Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapy department at Hamilton Health Sciences is a dynamic team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with respiratory needs. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in ICU, CCU, and other critical care areas
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement respiratory care plans
- Conduct ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, and airway management
- Perform adult oral endotracheal intubation, arterial blood gas sampling, and tracheostomy management
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current General Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
- Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent experience in adult critical care setting
