Overview

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to large corporations, and develop your skills and expertise in audit and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring that all audit procedures are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring that all financial statements are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing the business plan and contribute to the development of new business opportunities.
  • Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan and ensure that all audit teams are working towards the same objectives.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Help clients reach solutions on their needs and provide expert advice on accounting and audit matters.
  • Work with clients and partners through complex accounting issues to come up with appropriate solutions and ensure that all audit procedures are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Previous experience using the various accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO and/or Public Sector).
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are a strong team player and have meticulous attention to detail.
