About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Firehousesubs Guelph. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, inventory, and cash handling.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, responding to complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train staff to ensure they are meeting performance expectations, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that the restaurant is always fully stocked.
  • Cash Handling: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Computer Skills: MS Office.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and own transportation.
