Job Title: Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Firehousesubs Guelph. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to ensure high standards are met.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Supervise staff and ensure they are following company policies and procedures.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a positive experience.
  • Supervise staff or team and ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
