About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth in our clothing department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and increase sales revenue in the clothing department.
  • Coach and develop sales associates to improve their skills and knowledge, and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and provide personalized service to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to achieve cross-functional goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, and make data-driven decisions to drive business results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive and relevant in the market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a clothing or fashion-related industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
