Position: Security Supervisor

Compensation: $26.00/hr or Commensurate with Experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

As a pivotal member of the Pomeroy Lodging LP team, the Security Supervisor will oversee the security operations, ensuring the safety and security of assets, facilities, employees, and guests. This role requires adherence to local, provincial, and federal regulations while fostering positive relationships with patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding guest service in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure physical security, manage crowd control, and address incidents effectively.
  • Lead a team to achieve high standards of customer service.
  • Supervise and evaluate team performance in security-related activities.
  • Assess situations with sensitivity and proactively provide solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical reasoning and critical thinking abilities.

Experience and Education:

  • Completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) Training Certification (online course/written exam).
  • Ability to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Enforcement Branch.
  • First Aid Level 1 certification; Level 2 is an asset but not mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in security or surveillance; experience in gaming is advantageous.
  • Educational background in law enforcement studies is beneficial.
