Executive Vice President, Operations and Chief Operating Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of conventional, custom, and para-transit services to communities throughout BC, outside the Greater Vancouver regions.
- Plan and execute strategies to further the strategic corporate agenda for BC Transit.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Operations Division, applying strategic thinking and results-oriented leadership to ensure business plan objectives are achieved.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a management team to deliver safe and reliable transit services.
- Build relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups to develop service standards according to customer needs and government policies.
- Contribute to policy development, planning, and implementation of cross-division initiatives, and achieve corporate goals.
- Represent the division and the province on various committees, task forces, and teams, providing input on program initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Progressive, values-based operations executive with a strong track record of leadership and transformation.
- Ability to balance day-to-day contingencies with longer-term initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking and results-oriented leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
