Electrical Engineering Manager | Power System Studies

Schneider Electric Canada is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Power System Studies team. As a key member of our Services Business Unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the team's deliverables, fostering collaboration with various business units, and driving business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a team of Power Systems Engineers and Consultants, providing technical guidance and leadership.
  2. Participate in business development activities, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to expand our services.
  3. Responsible for remotely managing a geographically diverse technical team.
  4. Provide administrative management for department personnel, including training plans and annual reviews.
  5. Ensure the consolidation and sharing of Power Systems Study know-how within the team.
  6. Participate in defining the team's vision, ambition, and strategy.
  7. Provide leadership, coaching, and quality control for the team and assigned projects.
  8. Connect the Power System Engineering team with other teams and projects within Schneider Electric.
  9. Manage the Power System Studies business, including sales and margin targets, sales support, and tendering processes.
Requirements:
  1. University degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
  2. Professional Engineer certification (P.Eng) with a recognized association of professional engineers.
  3. 10+ years of professional experience in Electrical engineering and consulting, with a minimum of 3 years in a team manager/supervisor role.
  4. Proven ability to interface with all organizational levels and customers.
  5. Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical staff.
  6. Strong experience in partner/customer relationships, including active listening and needs analysis.
  7. Bilingual in English and French (an asset).
  8. Exhibiting advanced interpersonal and leadership skills, including technical acumen and individual/team performance evaluation.
