**About the Role**

Ontario Soccer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Intern, OPDL and Club Development. This internship will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the administration of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) and the implementation of Canada Soccer's Club Licensing program in Ontario.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Communicate with OPDL Licence Holders to ensure compliance with league rules and regulations.
  • Work with Communications Staff to produce OPDL content for the Ontario Soccer Newsletter and Website.
  • Manage and analyze OPDL Surveys and Assessments, creating reports and presentations for OPDL Management Staff as needed.
  • Support the review and implementation of OPDL Rules & Regulations.
  • Develop and maintain applicable sections on the Ontario Soccer & OPDL websites.
  • Plan and prepare OPDL meetings and education sessions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administer the application and data collection for the Club Licensing program.
  • Work with Club Assessors on the assessment of organizations using provided tools.
  • Filing and maintaining compliance reports, as well as assisting with administration of OPDL discipline.

**Requirements**

  • Any Canada Soccer, or foreign, coaching certification is an asset but not required.
  • An understanding of Ontario Soccer programming and broader landscape.
  • Working knowledge of the OPDL and Club Licensing programs is an asset.
  • Currently completing Post-Secondary education in sports administration.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with analytical strengths and effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of common technology and computer platforms (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Must be receiving a course credit for completing the internship.
