Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) Inc. stands as a prominent player in the BC heavy civil construction sector. Our operations encompass a wide range of services including road building, paving, highway upkeep, site and land development, as well as residential construction. Our dedication to quality and professionalism has earned us the prestigious Gold Seal certification in the construction industry.

We are currently in search of a surveyor to contribute to our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee various surveying tasks as needed;
  • Interpret engineering plans and specifications;
  • Utilize different staking techniques for road and development projects, including slope and grade markers;
  • Execute topographic surveys of natural and constructed surfaces;
  • Prepare as-built documentation for installed structures;
  • Accurately measure and document field data with precision;
  • Maintain effective communication with Supervisors and Project Managers on a daily basis;
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a secure working environment;
  • Compile and finalize reports;
  • Assist with additional labor tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Completion or progress towards a certification in Geomatics;
  • Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a team;
  • Willingness to travel for work assignments;
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities;
  • Flexibility to work night shifts if required;
  • Enjoyment of outdoor work in a fast-paced and challenging setting;
  • Possession of a valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record;
  • Physical capability to navigate uneven terrain, ascend slopes, and lift up to 20 kilograms.
