Civil Engineering Designer

This role will involve applying Civil 3D knowledge to design projects from concept to completion, working on a variety of civil engineering projects including land development, municipal design, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D skills to create accurate engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with the design team to prepare construction and contract documents.
- Assist in the creation of earthworks models and cost estimates.
- Maintain organized files and documentation of all drawings and revisions.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to deliver project designs on time and within budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary training in a drafting program or related experience.
- Registration or eligibility to register with ASTTBC as a Civil Technologist/Technician.
- 5+ years of experience preferred, although candidates with 2+ years of experience and relevant training will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of drafting principles, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and translate them into accurate engineering drawings.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precise design requirements.
- Experience using Adobe and MS Office suite.
- Strong communication skills and a flexible attitude.
- Ability to work independently from a home office.
