About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team at Newcrest Mining. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our mining facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime and maximize labor productivity.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to plan and schedule maintenance activities, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing costs.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to develop and implement maintenance work packs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Newmont's Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Policies & Procedures and encourage others to do the same.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mine planning or maintenance planning, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • C Class Manual Licence.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
