Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet our kitchen's work schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff

Oversee and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working effectively and safely.

Train and Develop Staff

Train and develop our kitchen staff in their job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.

Inventory Management

Estimate and manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet our customers' needs.

Quality Control

Ensure that all food and service meet our high standards of quality control, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights into our kitchen's performance.

Food Order Summaries

Prepare detailed summaries of food orders for our chef, ensuring that they have the information they need to manage our kitchen effectively.

Tray and Trolley Supervision

Supervise and check the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that our customers receive their food in a timely and efficient manner.

Work Schedules

Establish and manage work schedules for our kitchen staff, ensuring that we have sufficient coverage at all times.

About the Team

You will be working as part of a dynamic and experienced team at Shoeless Joes, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food. As a Kitchen Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, working closely with our chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as hospitality or culinary arts.

Experience

At least 1 month of experience in a kitchen management role, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.

Supervision

5-10 direct reports, with a focus on developing and supporting our kitchen staff to achieve their full potential.

Work Language

English, with a strong focus on communication and teamwork.

Hours

35-40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our kitchen.
