Caregiver for Infants and Toddlers

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver for Infants and Toddlers to join our team at Little Munchkin Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our youngest learners.
Key Responsibilities- Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding: Ensure the physical needs of infants and toddlers are met, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
- Child-Care Programs: Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Leading Activities: Plan and lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
- Encouraging Independence: Support children in developing self-care skills, such as dressing, eating, and using the bathroom.
- Preparing Environments: Set up and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including preparing snacks and arranging rooms for rest periods.
- Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress and report any concerns or issues to parents or guardians.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and share best practices.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Certifications: Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2) certification.
- Experience: Experience working with infants and toddlers is an asset.
- Security and Safety: Must have a clean criminal record check and up-to-date immunization records.
