About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to join our team at Little Munchkin Daycare. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding: Ensure the physical needs of infants and toddlers are met with care and attention.
  • Child-Care Program Development: Design and implement engaging programs that promote cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leading Activities: Plan and lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through storytelling, songs, and outings.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Foster a love for art, music, and physical activity in our children.
  • Guiding Developmental Habits: Assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Preparing Meals and Environments: Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress and prepare reports for parents and guardians.
  • Staff Meetings and Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and healthy environment for our children.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma.
  • Certifications: Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2) and Criminal Record Check.
  • Experience: An asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35-40 hours per week.
