Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Electrophysiology team at Boston Scientific Gruppe. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user interfaces for our medical devices using Qt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop user interfaces for medical devices using Qt, ensuring high-quality and user-friendly experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, promoting best-in-class software development methodologies and practices.
  • Solve complex problems and strive for engineering excellence, continuously improving our software development processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, systems engineering, QA, hardware, and regulatory, to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong software development background.
  • Proven experience in delivering successful mission-critical products, with a focus on software development and user interface design.
  • Expertise in C++, Qt, and familiarity with one other scientific computing/scripting language, such as Python or MATLAB, with a working knowledge of Unix.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a positive influence on the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and product quality, with a strong understanding of quality processes and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in designing and implementing medical device software, with a focus on user interface development.
  • Knowledge of third-party C++ libraries, such as STL, Qt, and Boost, with experience in developing systems with intuitive user interfaces.
  • Experience in writing software for embedded systems that interface with sensors, with a focus on medical device development.
