Pharmacist - Community Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Inventory Management: Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patients' needs.
- Patient Counseling: Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner, promoting health and wellness.
- Community Outreach: Create awareness and educate customers through public relations, including public health days and clinics.
- Cost Control: Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy, ensuring efficient operations and maximizing revenue.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training for new and existing pharmacy colleagues, including technicians, interns, students, and IPGs.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist's license.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and performance management skills, with the ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and management.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate and execute action plans.
- Technical Skills: Strong personal computing skills, with knowledge of Health Watch Pharmacy Computer system an asset.
