Director, Train Service Planning Lead

We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as Directors, Train Service Planning Leads. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of rail transportation in the GTA by developing and implementing innovative service planning strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for all aspects of train service planning, including schedule development, capacity analysis, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations, maintenance, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of service plans with overall transportation objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the rail sector.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to optimize train service efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure Metrolinx remains at the forefront of rail service planning innovation.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in rail transportation planning, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing service plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of rail operations, infrastructure, and safety regulations.
