Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Baggage Operations team at the Vancouver Airport Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SCADA systems to ensure seamless baggage handling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful implementation of SCADA systems and related projects.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Incident Management: Investigate and resolve technical issues related to SCADA systems, including root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and products related to SCADA systems.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SCADA systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in SCADA systems design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with project management tools and methodologies.
