Summary of Duties
  • Under the guidance of the Housekeeping and Laundry Manager, perform a variety of floor care and heavy cleaning tasks in public areas and resident rooms.
  • Transport heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the facility as needed.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage properly.
  • Address minor maintenance requests in the absence of a dedicated maintenance staff member.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Grade 10 education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, such as Building Service Worker training.
  • Proficiency in operating equipment like swing machines, buffing machines, auto scrubbers, and carpet shampooers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to safely perform the duties of the position in accordance with the facility's safety standards.

Building Service Worker Certificate is required.
