About the Role

The Vancouver Board of Education is seeking a reliable and flexible Custodial Worker to join our team on an on-call basis. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of schools and facilities
  • Perform custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of floors, walls, and windows
  • Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Building Service Worker Certificate preferred, or 2+ years of experience in custodial/janitor work
  • Must be flexible and accept assignments on short notice
