Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our SRE team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering our cloud-based database infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based database solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Develop and maintain database automation scripts using Terraform and configuration management utilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services
  • Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in database administration and design
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, including GCP and AWS
  • Strong understanding of database design patterns, including RDBMS, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases
  • Experience with automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with database managed services in cloud, such as CloudSQL
  • Working knowledge of Terraform scripting to develop "infrastructure as code"
