Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our SRE team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering cloud-based databases for our Digital First Banking platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud-based database architectures for our Digital First Banking platform
- Develop and maintain database automation scripts using Terraform and configuration management utilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services
- Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and SOC2
- 4-6 years of experience in database administration and design
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform or AWS
- Strong understanding of database design patterns, including RDMBS 3NF and noSQL
- Experience with database automation tools, such as Terraform and configuration management utilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with database managed services in cloud, such as CloudSQL
- Working knowledge of Terraform scripting to develop "infrastructure as code"
