Job Summary

The Stewarding Supervisor is a key member of our hotel's kitchen team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. As a seasoned professional with a passion for excellence, you will lead a team of stewards in ensuring that our kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example - Demonstrate exceptional cleaning and sanitation skills, and train your team to do the same.
  • Attention to Detail - Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Safety First - Ensure that all team members are trained on safety procedures and protocols, and that the kitchen is equipped with the necessary safety equipment.
  • Team Management - Supervise and motivate your team to achieve exceptional results, and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Inventory Management - Oversee the ordering and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of our guests.

Requirements

  • Experience - At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications - Current Safe Food Handler Certification required.
  • Skills - Familiarity with Ecolab chemicals, correct cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and proficiency with standard cleaning equipment.
  • Physical Demands - Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication - Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Availability - Flexible availability for morning and late shifts, covering 5 days across Monday-Sunday.
