Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Waste Characterization Specialist to join our team in Chalk River, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving internal project performance and supporting our customers in the Nuclear Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement waste characterization strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations staff, clients, and supply chain vendors to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Conduct field activities in various environmental conditions, including hoisting and heavy equipment operations.
  • Provide technical expertise in waste management principles, characterizations approaches, and implementation techniques.
  • Apply radiation protection principles, measurements, and contamination control to daily work activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of ERM operations, processes, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Honours Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized university or membership in an Engineering or scientific professional organization.
  • Background in mathematics, chemistry, or physics is considered an asset.
