Senior Waste Characterization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Waste Characterization Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of helping clients achieve successful project delivery and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply radionuclide scaling factors to ensure accurate waste characterization
  • Interpret analysis results and provide clear recommendations for waste consignment and disposition routes
  • Provide technical guidance and support to a team of professionals in the areas of Waste Characterization
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological and scientific developments in the field and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Communicate complex technical information to various audiences, including operations staff, clients, and management
Requirements
  • Honours Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized university or membership in a professional organization
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear operations, specifically in Waste Management, Waste Characterization, Environmental remediation, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce complex reports on technical subjects
